Meet Kat
Hi, I’m Kat! I’m fun, easy going and love to laugh. I love making people feel special: my family, my friends and my clients. I’m naturally someone who cheers everyone on and I love being my clients’ biggest fan. My goal is for your experience with me to be just as wonderful as the photos I’m delivering to you and that, hopefully, we become friends for years to come.
A bit of background…
I grew up in Dartmouth until I was 21 before moving to Iqaluit, Nunavut, where I lived for almost 15 years working as a Customer Service Manager for an airline. While I was there, I met the love of my life, Aaron. In 2020, we had our little girl, Piper Mackenzie, and knew it was time to move home to Nova Scotia.
I’ve always been a creative, always searching for my next project. In Nunavut, I did a lot of woodworking, home design, renovations and DIY projects. I also ran an Air BnB until the pandemic hit. When I moved home, I decided it was time to embrace my passion for photography full-time. With the help and guidance of my mentor, Shaeline Faith Photography, I fell in LOVE with the art and the creative process, and here we are!
My Style
When it comes to my photography style, I aim to deliver beautiful bright, colourful, timeless photos. A great mix of mantle-worthy and candid, real shots. I love working with people who love to laugh like I do because, to me, there’s nothing more beautiful than capturing a genuine laugh.
My biggest compliment from my past clients is that I make sessions really easy and comfortable for everyone. Your poses will be natural and fun and I’ll always be cheering you on from the other side of the lens!
In a nutshell, I just want to make people happy and make the world a more beautiful place.
